Lucifer was a dragon that lived in the very mountains that no one dared to enter. Hidden in the caves of the Wykem Mountains, he lived a quiet life of a hunter. But he was an angry dragon and if anyone ever crossed into his territory, they only came out in whispers of ash and dust. 
  
  Mila was an elf, abandoned at birth and left to die at the steps of an overfilled orphanage that couldn't take her. She wasn't wanted and she harbored more pain than most elves. She forced herself to be stronger, to ignore the pain beating harder than the heart her life depended on, but she never could run away from it. 
  
  When Mila runs into the Wykem Mountains, hopeful for death, she never expected to come out. But when Lucifer meets his match, he knows he can't hurt her, not even if his life was at stake.
