Dan Howell has two different faces, two different disguises, and two different lives.

Dan is pretty much friendless; who needs friends while merely floating through life anyways?

Half of the time, Dan is the introverted kid who doesn't speak and goes through life attempting to be invisible. The other half of the time, he's at home. That is, until he walks into school late on the first day of the year, and encounters a new kid who can't find the way to his classroom.

Phil Lester is the complete opposite of Dan Howell. He's bright, cheery, and friendly. When he meets Dan, he can't bring himself to stay away from the shy kid who seemingly doesn't exist. Phil decided to make it his mission to befriend the ghost of a boy that is Dan Howell.

This is a Phan AU set in a fictional high school in Seattle, Washington, [U.S.] simply because I don't have enough knowledge of England or any state in the U.S. besides Washington to have an accurate setting.
