She spoke with a stretched hand, tempting the young warrior. "You know you can't escape it. You know you cannot fix it. But I can. I can fix you, if only for a moment. And isn't that what you want?" • • • In a jungle there is no lack of sound. A waterfall rushing, a bush shaking, a frog croaking- but today seemed to be the exception. It was by this lack of noise I knew he was nearby. With a quick scan I get a full idea of my surroundings- where I stood there was a stone, leading to a plane with a small pond no larger than a golfing green, and a waterfall that seemed to have been frozen in time- it did not move, it made no sounds, and not a fish swam through it. As a matter of fact, upon further examination nothing moved. It was as though someone had stuck the whole scene in a freezer- without the eerie cold breeze and frozen meats, of course. Suddenly I understood the silence. There is only one I know who can bring about the stopping of an area- Cyan. "What took you so long? It feels as though it's been ages," a voice travelling from a familiar face spoke. The familiar face in question was Cyan, wearing a just-as-familiar smirk, framed by a thin, well-defined face with a disturbingly light-blue pastel shade of hair on top. His body mirrored his face's construct, being thin and of average height. Little separated him from the average 15 year old except for his long arms. They were about an inch longer than most, which doesn't sound like much until you see someone with arms an inch longer than they should be. "Why don't you come join me," the boy taunted. "I won't even touch you this time." "It's not like you have to," I replied. "How 'bout you let that area live in time with the rest of us so we can fight fair," I argued. "I think not feeling pain would be an advantage enough, wouldn't you? And the whole. Voodoo doll thing you got going on." "Fair enough."All Rights Reserved
