The Council of the Radiant mages have decided that this could be their last chance to defend against the dark arts of the Dire mages. Knowing that their sacred monasteries have been ransacked by Dire marauders, they are now up against a wall in their fight to protect the World Tree.
The Knights of the Radiant are willing to fight alongside with them, but their numbers are steadily decreasing. The last of the revered holy knights - Purist Thunderwrath, has made a treaty with the Council's highest ranking archmage - the Skywrath Mage - to end this battle once and for all.
Meanwhile, at the opposite end of the world, in Dire's Chamber of the Dark Arts - two of the strongest dark mages - the Invoker and Warlock - are channelling a spell together that would destroy the World Tree in one conjuration. Three of the Dire's most feared generals - Abaddon, the Wraith King, and Undying - have gathered an army of undead to decimate the frontlines of the Radiant's defenses.
Will the Dire succeed in destroying the World Tree, or will the Radiant turn the tides of war to their favor?
