»Let's play a game,« he whispered huskily as he pinned me up against the wall, his chest pressed firmly against mine, "Let's sweet talk. Let's play fight. Let's talk all day. Let's give each other nicknames. Let's go on dates. Let's talk on phone all night long. Let's hold each other. Let's kiss and hug. Let's fall asleep in each others' arms. Let's tease each other." I shivered as he brought his lips closer to my lips. "And whoever falls in love first?" he asked and looked deeply in my eyes, his lips curled in a smirk. "Loses."

As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
