A compilation, edited by Ellyn Peirson, of her son's writings through his 3 year journey with a rare, incurable cancer...

I am Keats as you are: one man's journey to final enlightenment.

Glenn Peirson died much too soon, stricken by a fast-spreading sinus cancer and leaving our world in November 2009 at 44. Glenn, as a friend described him, was a true Renaissance man, a man of compassion, intellect and deep passion.

His battle with The Beast extended for three torturous, draining years. It killed Glenn Peirson, but it did not defeat him. As he wrote to his friends and family just prior to his death: "We are always open to your questions, concerns, gestures and good-will. We are, as always, allergic to pity and despair..."

Peirson's battle with cancer lies at the heart of this book, a mixed reference to the Romantic poet John Keats and the Beatles. I am Keats as you are is a compilation of Peirson's own poetry and the hundreds of letters he sent to family and friends over the course of his struggle with cancer.

This is a powerful, passionate, highly personal book about a view of the world. It invites the reader into an exploration and provides insights garnered along a brief, beautiful, fully-walked path.

COMPLETED Living a life you didn't sign up for is hard, but doing so while feeling lost is harder. Dylan Amity is a musical prodigy. He could play a range of instruments, from the electric guitar to his violin. He lived, ate, and breathed music and was on track to becoming the orchestra's lead violinist. He was ready to become one of history's best composers. But he decided to place his dreams on hold for a while when he found out that his dad, the CEO of Amity Industry, was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. His dad's death was expected, but the way he died wasn't. After the reading of the will, Dylan is faced with the harsh reality that you don't always get what you want. Following a short period of grief, Dylan is thrust into a world of business, responsibilities, and guardianship. He never wanted to be CEO, but now he has to because it's what his dad wanted. He also never expected to be Amber's, his thirteen-year-old sister's, legal guardian. Dylan has to put his dreams aside as he learns to navigate his new life without any experience of being a CEO or a guardian. Without a guide, Dylan is bound to feel lost, but maybe Rose could help. Maybe she could teach him how to deal with it. ••• Sneak Peek: "You know what, Amber? At least I'm fucking trying!" I gritted out, meeting her eyes that practically blazed with fury. "Yeah! Trying to act like papa. But guess what, Dylan, you never cared about me or what I did!" She screamed, taking steps back towards the stairs. "You never cared when I was a baby, you didn't care when I was a toddler, and guess what! You don't care now. You're only pretending to care to make yourself feel better. But you don't! No one fucking cares."

In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.

There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story. (The whole story has now been published, the only thing I'll still add is the final epilogue but the story is already available in its entirety.)

" • As the average savage adult that I am, I can be very serious with my work and words, but that happens exactly right after the death of my father, or so I thought. My brothers and I have been getting along very well, as a Bounty Hunter, I can be very intimidating, until I met him. His hair, his eyes, his touch is all I need, I never thought all that of him can make me feel like this and to my surprise, I act like a child. I was just no longer that average savage adult that I was, but everything changed when I learned about his past. I couldn't believe it nor could I even want to, it was overwhelming. I was lost, confused, it got to the point where I wasn't myself for a while. But the fun part is being Dominant. What's that supposed to mean?, What past did this person learn?, Is the father dead or alive?, Who's more dominant?, In what way? Read this book to know. This book is published on amazon.com. I put it on here for Wattpadders to read for free! Have you ever felt so much emotional pain that you just wanted to end it all? Have you ever felt so much physical pain that you thought death was nearer than you had hoped for? Maybe you have felt one, but not both, or maybe you have felt both. These poems were written for those who have felt pain like no other. You may be your own worst enemy, but you are also your own best friend. Sometimes, no one is there to help you get up off that floor, so it is up to you to help your own self. Once you find that you can take care of yourself, you can take care of and love others. Humans need love to survive. If we didn't have love, we'd all be robots and simply not human. The love doesn't have to be from a significant other. Maybe it's from a best friend or close family member? Just know that we are all in this game of life together. So, let's live it with love. I had entered the deepest depths of pain and agony. I had given up on my life. I tried to end my life, and I would have been successful. Three people saved me that day, at the end of 2017. First, was myself. I had to come to terms with who I was and turn it all back around. I had to lean on my Creator, who was my second life saver. Jesus came to my aid and saved my life after I tried to take it. The third person who saved me was my husband. Before we met I would have died, but he needed me just like I needed him. I am alive for him, for my two sons, for myself, and for my Heavenly Father. "I couldn't make it stop, Until I met my rock. So, here are my words of wisdom, "Pain reconciled by love" is my rhythm." There is hope. There is a purpose to this life. Pain Reconciled by Love is full of heartache, but also full of beauty. I'm still alive because there is something for me out there. I hope this is the beginning to something beautiful. For you and for me.
