What if one day the moon was knocked out of orbit setting off a catastrophic chain of events and pushing humanity towards the edge of extinction? What would you do to survive? Could you survive?
Meet Damien and Jenessa Hart. They have everything they could want; four kids, a beautiful house on seven acres of land, and Jenessa makes good momey as a cat breeder.
However, their world is about to get turned upside down when a meteor suddenly hits the moon, knocking it closer to earth. Famine, drought, record breaking cold temperatures, and more will claim the lives of millions of people all over the world.
Can Jenessa and her family survive when they're just a few of the last people on earth?

A/N: I attempting to write fanfic of the Last Survivors series (Life As We Knew It, The Dead and the Gone, This World We Live In, The Shade of the Moon; Susan Beth Pfeffer). This story will take place in Millersport, Ohio. Some of the events will be the same as in the original books, so I take no credit for those parts. I decided to write this story because I really enjoyed reading these books and I wanted to write one of my own.
