She was sitting at home alone. Her parents left days ago. She doesn't know where they went. They never tell her where they go or for how long. She can't sleep. Her mind is racing. It's racing with thoughts that have been stuck there for ages. About him. How he broke her. "What's wrong with me?" She thought. "Why wasn't I good enough for him?" She can't stop thinking about what could she possibly have done to make him run away. Little did she know that someone else had an eye out for her. Not another stupid boy. A girl this time. She's been waiting for her to realize that he's no good for her. She's good for her. If only she would open her eyes.

Parents always say they don't have favourites. Well, most of the time anyway. In some situations it was painfully obvious, like in Maya's. As the youngest, there were high expectations. Even higher when your brother is a doctor, and you're well... a high school drop out. She resented him for getting out of there, and living a life with fancy cars, and houses, and holidays. She thought his ego was probably huge, and that he didn't really like her anyway. But in a time of need, her brother was all she had, and it turned out he wasn't as much of a dick as she thought.
