She was sitting at home alone. Her parents left days ago. She doesn't know where they went. They never tell her where they go or for how long. She can't sleep. Her mind is racing. It's racing with thoughts that have been stuck there for ages. About him. How he broke her. "What's wrong with me?" She thought. "Why wasn't I good enough for him?" She can't stop thinking about what could she possibly have done to make him run away. Little did she know that someone else had an eye out for her. Not another stupid boy. A girl this time. She's been waiting for her to realize that he's no good for her. She's good for her. If only she would open her eyes.

Parents always say they don't have favourites. Well, most of the time anyway. In some situations it was painfully obvious, like in Maya's. As the youngest, there were high expectations. Even higher when your brother is a doctor, and you're well... a high school drop out. She resented him for getting out of there, and living a life with fancy cars, and houses, and holidays. She thought his ego was probably huge, and that he didn't really like her anyway. But in a time of need, her brother was all she had, and it turned out he wasn't as much of a dick as she thought. I've known that from the second I walked away from her and how angry I was that I was feeling something so drastic as a result. My heart was racing immensely and it infuriated me. I was so fucking pissed that I acted on impulse and kissed the girl. Lila doesn't say anything, handing over the floor to me in order for me to give my side of the story. After all, I've hardly given her an explanation regarding it and she deserves that at the very least. "I've been wanting to do it again ever since that night," I admit to her, a breath leaving my lips.
