Three things that brought me into a state confusion. Who could possibly be sending me a direct message at 3:18 in the morning?

I glanced at my phone, mentally cursing for not turning my brightness down. Blinking my eyes a couple of times to adjust to the bright screen, I open up the Instagram app. Clicking on the 'direct message' inbox button, I press my thumb on the latest direct message.
