Heartless is a term that describes someone who is uncaring. It is generally implied that they are cold. What people don't seem to realize is that someone isn't just heartless for no reason. It's usually a product of caring too much and broken trust. My name is Andy Phoenix. I'm just going to cut to the chase and say that my life turned for the worse. I was happy with my mom and my younger brother back in Virginia, but suddenly I find myself in the custody of my dad who I haven't even talked to in about... hmm, I would say around five years. Now, I have to deal with a stepmother that is convinced I can't live my life without her help and a father that I'm sure doesn't even want me here in the first place. On top of that, there's an annoying little sister, a neighbor that makes me want to bash my head into a wall, and a student body that is WAY too obsessed with drama. Fun. Plus, I'm not the person to just be walked all over... So join me while I convince the world that heartless isn't always a bad thing. - - - - - For those of you that like the warning, there are some mature topics that might not be appropriate for younger audiences. 1. I do cuss when I write. 2. There are some references to alcohol. 3. Eating disorders are brushed upon. 4. I am planning on including some parts with violence. READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRESSION. ~"You don't- you don't need me." I stared in shock. This was the first shred of emotion he'd shown since he started avoiding me, and I had no idea how to respond. What was I supposed to say to something like that? So I let myself be honest, and I told him exactly how I felt. "But I do." I almost choked on my words. "I do need you. I can't talk to anybody else. I can't eat. I can't sleep. And I know you know what that's like."~ Liliana is now an orphan. Just 17 years old, she lost her parents in a boating accident and now she must live with her best friend, her best friend's parents and her best friend's brother, Joseph. She struggles through her grief as well as dealing with the mysterious but obnoxious Joseph, and it soon comes to light that he isn't the only one around her keeping secrets. Living under the same roof, tensions arise, and Liliana begins to discover that a perfect family may not be so perfect after all."
