In a vast and mysterious land where no human can reach and only aquatic being had put eyes upon. Under all the darkness and the mysteries of the sea, there was one of the seven hidden Kingdom. A Kingdom protected by a mysterious and dangerous seaweed forest from prying eyes. But for those who had been living there for an eternity, this place was no mystery, but their one and only home.

Llyr, a merman, had only known this Kingdom. He never dared to explore what was beyond the seaweed forest nor was he ever interested. He was completely happy with his life. He had a loving family, was appreciated by everyone and had a promising future in front of him.

However, with his twentieth birthday approaching, he started to fear the day he would become an adult. Since no mermaid nor mermen believed in love, it was the matchmaker who would decide for everyone who would come at age. No one could know who you would be matched with, it could be someone of this Kingdom or from a different one.

That was what Llyr feared, being mated to someone who lived beyond the seaweed forest. Having to live beyond the world, he knew frightened him. Depending on his life companion, Llyr may be moving away from everything he loved.

So, when Llyr birthday finally arrives, will he discover love and another perfect world where he could be happy again or the harsh reality he had been taught since he was little?

A merman living in a half-sunken Venice must decide between revealing himself to the oppressive humans to pursue the man he wants or repressing his desires to save everyone that matters to him, except himself, in The Sunken City. There isn't even a word for what Caydo is. At seventeen, he only knows that he is different. If Caydo manages to restore the magic that allowed his kind to breathe underwater, they could live free of the humans, but he would be trapped with the merpeople, who will never accept his sexuality. Attracted to a devious human from the surface, Caydo must navigate a new world of card games and vices, which could bring more trouble, instead of the romance and the refuge he craves. At fifteen, Caydo's younger sister, Sarzana, must choose either to stay a mermaid or to become a human, as it is illegal to bend after she turns sixteen. Unbeknownst to her family and friends, she has already chosen a human life designing buildings, which goes against the merpeople's goddess. The surface might not be welcoming to a mermaid, but the humans have the answer to what happened to her father in the attacks ten years ago. Told from multiple perspectives, the world of the merpeople and the ruins of Venice come to life in this engaging story of fearlessness and hope in the face of adversity. NEW CHAPTERS RELEASING EACH FRIDAY! THE COMPLETE BOOK WILL BE AVAILABLE ON NOVEMBER 19TH, 2021! Don't forget! You're magical! Mature Rating due to violence and sexual content.

55 parts Complete Mature
Growing up in chaos isn't simple for all. Not many could cope. They would struggle and kick, but ultimately drown. However, for Dakota, that was his normality. Torturing. Maiming. Killing. That was his life, the life of a hunter. The Arizona line was elusive, written fame in the lore of hunters, and infamy for their prey. They were the best. No one could ever compare to their skills, their abilities, their ruthlessness. But Dakota was something else. His siblings might have learnt to enjoy the hunt, well most of them anyway, but Dakota didn't. There was always something missing for him, something he was waiting on. Silent and everlasting hope. A promise had been made to him, the day his twin brother was stolen, taken by the enemy, plucked right from the very home the Arizonas had grown up in. A promise of something better, something that he might actually want in his life. Now, almost sixteen years later, something was coming. A change was begging to be found. Maybe it would be for the best. Maybe Dakota would finally find that certain something that had been missing his whole life, something to fill the dark and fractured abyss that ached and wailed within. But nothing was ever that simple. Because, of course, the promise that had been made to Dakota would never be anything plausible for him, anything tangible to have and to hold. He had been promised a new life, by the greatest enemy of them all. It wouldn't be easy. Not with his family still clinging to his heels, the teachings of blood and violence burnt into his mind. No, leaving them behind wouldn't ever be easy. Then again, staying with them would only bring his inevitable death. Why not take the chance to die happy? After all, out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise...

"What I was going to say was selfish..." He mumbled. I edge closer to him until my hand slowly cradled his cheek. Tilting his head up to look at me. "Please let me know what it was." I beg him pathetically. He begins to chew his lip and that's when I knew he was nervous. Nervous about what? I'm not exactly sure. "With everything I said...I was going to say at the same time...never...leave me." He confessed painfully almost. That's when I lost all sense of control and pressed my lips onto his. Kissing him with all my strength and all the built up desire that's accumulated. I continued to kiss him until at some point my tongue made it's way into his mouth. Tasting a sweet flavor that I've never encountered. As I got deeper in the kissing I feel myself fly back into a tree. Slammed against it that I felt myself lose my breath. Trying to catch it, I look up at Achille. His eyes were now a crimson red that intrigued me. He shook his head and suddenly he was gone in a blur. Confused, I stood as I had to pop my back from the hard hit into the tree. Looking in the direction Achille ran off, I knew I couldn't see him because it'd be a blur. Always thought it was fascinating how when he runs you can't see it. Being a vampire must be...fascinating. Yet he makes it out to be hell. I can't understand that kind of complicity of being a vampire and the issues. I get it, they drink blood. Though there's multiple things beside humans that offer blood! He acts like it's so horrific. I would love to know what it felt like for a day. Just one day...

"Very good, Wesley," he breathed, the warm air fanning across the merchant captain's face. "Now I suggest you listen closely because I don't do this very often." Wesley curiosity grew, though he kept a healthy degree of skepticism as he listened to the pirate. "I'm prepared to offer you a deal." "What kind of deal?" he asked, his heart racing. "I seem to have found something that I want even more than your ship's cargo," he said with an unsettling smirk. "And I am prepared to let what remains of your crew sail free if I get it." "Name your price," Wesley said, at this point ready to agree to anything if his crew would live. Valentine reached out and tilted Wesley's head up so he could get a better view of it. His smirk seemed to grow as he let one little word slip through his lips. "You." *This is an LGBTQ+ story*
