When their parents and guardians signed them up to deal with their "various issues", Emily, Max, Bella, Miranda, Rachel, Jacob, Hannah, Nick, Alexis and Luke don't expect much of Miss Helen's support group/therapy session/ forced social activity. And well, they weren't exactly wrong. They really weren't quite sure what to expect in the first place, but it wasn't a room with nine other teenagers being forced to talk about their problems, to a therapist who probably has a few issues of her own.

Troubled.
Eve is 16 years old. She has normal friends and normal teenage habits. She didn't sneak out or smoke anything. She cussed sometimes and had a guy best friend she did secret things with. Her parents are Catholic, so they see her normal teen behavior as acting out beyond reason and continuously look for somewhere she can be 'fixed'. Her therapist suggested a place that looked like camp. Two strangers come get her in the middle of the night and bring her to the worst place she has ever been to in her life. When she comes back to live with her best friend, she is nothing like she was when she left, but he promised he'd wait for her.

She never knew her biological father, and her mother, Lauren Volkov, abandoned her when she was young as well; nine, to be exact. She was born with a rare form of Congenital Insensitivity to Pain and was unable to feel physical pain, so she never complained about something as simple as a paper cut or a stubbed toe since her brain didn't register it. She was diagnosed with anxiety and bipolar I disorder around that time as well and that's when her life was going 'downhill'. Over the years, she was also diagnosed with parasomnia, ADHD, paranoid personality disorder, and acute stress disorder. Needless to say she had more prescriptions than she chose to mention to anyone except for the people that already knew, and even then, she didn't talk about her mental illnesses, which her friends understood and complied with. After her mother left her, Katherine and George Walter took her in, having basically watched her grow up since Katherine and Lauren had known each other for as long as anyone remembered...until she up and left her only daughter behind that is. Nicolette moved in with them when she was nine and was practically raised alongside the Walter kids, as well as the Garcia boys when they moved in as well. She'd managed to get her life, and her mental illnesses, in order just when things in her life changed once more.
