"Why the hell do I have a tattoo on my body?"
That was what Jane always wondered about. She was just a 16 year old girl, and yet, she had a tattoo of some twirly flower stuff. Was she high or something when she did it? But it appeared right after her 10th birthday, and as far as she remembered, she never drank alcohol. Heck, she didn't even go out with her friends once.
She lived quite the tranquil life, until she was recruited by the Vampire Hunter Association, or VHA for short. Thus, she was introduced to a whole new world filled with powerful vampires and bloodthirsty vampire hunters.
But the worst part? Her new History teacher suddenly takes an interest in her, and she can't shake off the feeling of danger from him.

The black ink was peaking out of the hoodie she was wearing. I could see what looked like the start of a word. But I wasn't completely sure. I didn't want to assume. I moved closer. In the years there were things added. The tattoo has finished itself when she turned sixteen. And was consisting of many things. And then she meets the very person whose name is written on her arm. ⚠️PLEASE READ⚠️ PSA: I was in 8th grade when I wrote this and I believe it is very poorly done. Go ahead and read. I don't have the patience to rewrite. I have heard from several comments that it is funny so that is something to look forward to. MAJOR TRIGGER WARNINGS: I know there are several mentions etc of self harm. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
