Jayde Miller; The depressed fat girl, that's what she calls herself. Jayde's self esteem is fairly low and it gets lower every time she looks at her reflection. She also has depression. She cries herself to sleep at night and there's no one to tell her it'll be okay except Alona, her bestfriend. 

Alona has been Jayde's bestfriend since 3rd grade and there with her every step of the way.

When Alona's twin brother moves back with her and their mother he sees something in jayde that no has; beauty. He soon learns about Jayde's situation and he's determined to fix the way she thinks of herself.
