When Edward Cullen abandoned Bella in the forest, something inside of her broke. Spiralling down into a terrifying pit of darkness, she sought help from Jacob and Charlie, but there was nothing they could do. It was too late and Bella's soul had already died. She held her breath, pulled the trigger, and soon her body followed... then it came back. 

The Cullens were different after they left Forks. Emmett stopped smiling, Alice quit shopping. Rosalie and Carlisle became shells of their former selves. Jasper lost himself and Edward was heartbroken. Esme didn't know what to do. Even after a century of living in Alaska,  none of the Cullens seemed to recover. Eventually they made a big decision. It was time to go back to Washington. However, little did they know Bella was still there, well as there as a ghost could be.

So, he makes me go with her when Bella goes with Jacob, to sit around a campfire and talk about their "history." But at that same time is when it happens, when I meet the youngest one of the tribe, Seth Clearwater. He imprints on me. And my whole life changed because of all of it. I went from the sporty, loud girl who tried to stay away from Bella's weirdness, to being one of the tribe. I lost all track of time as I lay there in agony. Why hadn’t anyone come looking for me? I sensed a change in the burning, and then slowly the burning seemed to retract from my fingers and toes.
