AU- This story is about two universes, Yin-Yang versions of one another.  In one, Sherlock and John solve crimes, help New Scotland Yard, and DI Lestrade work within the law (as much as possible) and quietly yearn for one another with a vague, undefined longing.  Neither one will admit their deep feelings for the other for fear of driving the other away.  
     In the second universe, John and Sherlock solve crimes, help the New World Investigations Department, and the London Protectors.  They often work outside the law and have entered into an intensely physical relationship very soon after meeting.  They quickly fell into a Sub/Dom pattern with John acting in a submissive role and Sherlock in an extremely dominant position.  However, they both have begun to feel there is something missing from their relationship, and it's suffering from a missing element or connection.All Rights Reserved

Then his eyes landed on the photo and John's breath caught in his throat.
