I walked behind a tall white haired boy to a seemingly small house. Well it was smaller then my old home. My old home...a small sense of sadness and fear washed over me. The boy turned to me suddenly with a wide smile on his face as he flung his arms wide open dramatically. "Welcome to your new pack reject!" He grinned happily as I scowled at the name. I looked to the house and sighed. My destination the reject pack house.

At the age of 9 Emma Strong's parents, the alpha and Luna of one of the strongest packs alive, the Moon Shadow pack, died in a massive car accident. Into The Light
I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. I knew I would be safe as soon as I saw the little cottage at the end of the thick forest. I was so close to my freedom, so close to opening the door. Bam! My body instantly became cold. I squealed as the snow fell into my collar and down my back. I wiggled trying to get it to pass through my coat and drop out the bottom. I turned around with a glare on my face. My father stood facing me with a smug grin. Again, I attempted to stomp into the house when suddenly, my mother jumped out at me out of no where and pelted snowballs at my entire body, I noticed through the chaos my big sister was also helping her. "OKAY! I surrender!" I cried, falling back into the icy blanket with tears of laughter flowing from my eyes. ********* I gasped as I woke from my dream. I looked at the forest around me. Cold, dark and empty. I still had hope that they were just hiding and that this was all just a bad dream, but after a moment or two of listening to the trees creaking, I sighed. I was alone.
