What a pitiful sight to behold. I was on my knees, begging. Begging. The God of War and destruction pleading to be pardoned, begging to stay. And yet, I found myself years later still stuck in the Earth realm, still as lost and alone as I was that horrible day. What crime did I commit? What could I have done to be cast out of the Heavens?
He's had his fill of this world-the money, the women, the travelling, it was all good until the flashbacks started. Eli just wants to go home now, to be with his family and resume his title as a God. Even though his older brother has disowned him because of his immorality, he wants to go back to make amends. The rules were simple; if he could figure out his sin and fall in love with a human, he could find his way back. But all his love attempts were empty and void, having made no connection with a human for more than a night. When he goes to a club to try to find a lover one more time, he meets a young lady by the name of Phoenix who he thinks could be his way home.
Can Eli get Phoenix to help him absolve his sin? What debt will Eli and Phoenix have to pay to get back into the heavens?

My legs suddenly give out on me causing me to drop to the ground from how bad I was shaking. I'm now on my knees hugging myself as I sob so loud. "FUCK YOU I FUCKING HATE YOU! I GAVE YOU ALL OF ME, MY VIRGINITY, I BELIEVED YOUR PROMISES, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I TRUSTED YOU! I-I HOPE YOU ROT IN JAIL!", I clench my fists as I stand up turning my heel around storming out of the visitation room. The door slams shut as I look down the hallway. The leaving. It was hard, tragic , painful, yet it had to be done, I needed to save my life. I didn't want to start again, this would be the story of finding myself, pulling myself back together, reuniting the happy go lucky youngster I had once been. The shock of leaving took more of a toll on me than I thought it would. I had asked two people to help me move out of the house I had shared with my partner for 8 years, we had been together 23 years in total. The move was done in total secrecy, my partner could never know in advance, it was a very scary time. I had moved various things out of the house and secured a rent on a property nearby. The house I picked was near the School the children went to, and my oldest lad was going to be near his best friend. My Mother told me of the property it was advertised on the web, we both went and had a look, even that was scary, I didn't want to be seen by anyone and became paranoid that I would be caught out. For many months I lived on a new kind of fear, the fear of someone finding out that I planned to leave my abusive partner, though of course no one knew my seemingly happy, funny, generous partner was abusive. Finding the house was one thing, getting the various companies to connect the house and exchanging the information of my current address so they could varify that I was, who I said I was almost drove me mad. The day came to leave, My Mother and a very dear Friend came round as early as possible, we packed as much as we could.
