Imagine the rebellion- the one that Katniss caused- never even happened… 
The Quarter Quell on the 100th annual Hunger Games caused grief for Elisha Bailey, Jodie Frostbite and Jordan Paisley. By each losing a parent in the Games, and with Jodie becoming an orphan, none of them feel like dealing another major problem in their lives. Unfortunately, fate is not on their side and they are all forced into the 101st Hunger Games. They meet each other on the train to the Capitol and form an alliance to avenge the deaths of their parents. Along the way they meet Blaze Tesla who joins them in the fight against The Careers and the Hunger Games itself. 
Only one can survive the Games… Who will it be?

On the one hundredth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that the Dark Days only served to tear their families apart, each district will be required to send two sets of siblings. The new government that came with the rebellion Katniss started has been overthrown. President Snow's granddaughter is ruling Panem now, and she has proven to be more ruthless than he ever was. Katniss and Peeta were publicly executed after the Capitol took over again, and District 13 was completely obliterated. Since then, the Hunger Games have been harsher than ever.
