The animatronics weren't the same after being stuffed with dead children by the all-time unpopular, Purple Man. Thirsty for vengeance, the souls began haunting the suits of each animatronic that are designated upon them. But as they haunt the Purple Man down, they kill innocent nightguards working at the pizzeria. Each also being stuffed into an animatronic suit.
Now that wouldn't be so bad if it weren't stuffed with wires and crossbeams and other electrical and mechanical crap. So dying in that suit, would be a slow terrible death. Just imagine as they forcefully stuff you in, blood everywhere, crossbeams piercing through your skin, the electrical wires burning against your pallid face.
