People tell you certain things because if you continue to hear the same thing, you’ll begin to believe it. At least, that’s how management worked with One Direction. “You’re famous. You’re good looking. You’re straight,” and the boys would give a solid salute and do as told. They’d show the world they’re famous, good looking and straight. They’re role models. That’s what they’re supposed to do. Here’s the thing, as four of the members of One Direction marched off to show the world who they were told to be, Harry, the youngest member, would stay behind to wander. “Is it all really worth it?” he’d ask himself, over and over. But it was a good question, was it? What if he didn’t exactly want people to think of him as, ‘Harry Styles, that famous guy’? What if he just wanted to sing for the fun of it? What if he wasn’t one of the most secure people in the world? It’s kind of hard to walk around shirtless, confidently. What if he had someone extremely special in mind that he could never be with just because they weren't the opposite gender? That’s tough to handle, especially since that’s not the only reason that he can’t be with his love. This is why Harry was unlike the others. He wasn’t convinced by what people told him. He wanted to be his own person, with his own rules. He wanted to have his own world. Sure enough, that’s exactly what he got.
