Amita Miller is the girl that monsters are afraid of.
A member of IERDA, the international ectoplasmic research and development agency, Amita and her partner Mavrix have chased after ghosts, commonly referred to as contacts, for the better part of three years.
Hated by her psychic superiors because she is has no psychic powers to speak of Amita has relied on the kindness and sympathy of her old mentor, childhood crush, and famous psychic Canton for her continued employment.
She's already seen it all, but on her first ever solo mission Amita saves the life of a young man who seems to have no memory of who he is, where he came from, or even his name. He reminds her of herself years earlier when, like him, all that she had was taken away by contacts. When he shows promise as a psychic and asks to join both her and IERDA Amita is ready to finally take on the job of a mentor and maybe even that of a girlfriend.
But then she learns the horrible truth, someone close to her may just be a contact.
