Intruder: A True Story

I'm going to tell you a personal story, one I hold close to my heart. I was only nine years old and I had my first taste of real terror. I was petrified, cut off from help or even a phone. An unknown man searched my home for me, my sister and my two cousins. We were hidden in the bathroom and armed with only a plunger. Not even the neighbors would be able to hear us scream.
