How does hoping to get some hope feel like?
She had seen many people striving against the odds. All she did was hope to get the hope to strive for. There she lay everyday hoping for a better tomorrow while all she got was a more terrible future. She needed someone who could pull her up from the dark pit of self-destruction.
Feelings have been inspired by personal experience while the events are purely fictitious. Any resemblance with real life would merely be a coincidence.

Her hand trembles when she is about to sign the marriage papers. The very mention of the word marriage reminds her of her past, her first marriage. She had not even peacefully come out of her previous toxic marriage and she is pushing herself into the same hell again. He says after signing their marriage papers And his heart feels heavy as he says these insensitive words to her because after getting her he cannot even think of divorcing her, Divorcing her, isn't even the last thing he would do but still he has no other option except putting this condition before her. "Can I-" he stretches out his arms but I don't let him finish his sentence because I jump onto him like a little kid after her daddy comes back from work. His arms brace me hard and I take and feel every moment of that hug we share. I think it lasted longer then I intended it to but I don't regret anything about it. His scent, his arms and the way he's holding me so tightly like he's trying to memorize this for later. "Oh fuck, I love you," he mumbles into my hair and deep into my neck. Tears stream out of me, a lot of different emotions mix up into my system and I just can't help but cry out of happiness of finally getting to hug him and talk to him so close like this. "Don't cry baby, I got you now." He rocks me in his arms like I'm his little baby and takes me to his uncomfortable looking bed. I get why he did that, maybe I am so heavy that he can't keep me up for so long. I pull back and try to get off him but he doesn't allow me to do that. "You're staying right here, Iris." He wraps his arms around me securely and that makes me smile finally. "There's my pretty wife," he says and as if I wasn't already smiling big that got me smiling ever harder.
