"Thousands of hot, famous, teenage guys in LA, and I had to make the stupid mistake of picking Ross Lynch to be my launchpad to fame." Courtney rants in front of her mirror. "This idiotic asshole better boost my popularity, or there's no point in being his fucking girlfriend."

***

Laura peers over at the so-called happy couple sitting near the pool, wishing she could take Courtney's place.
Ross flashes his million-dollar smile at Courtney, making Laura go crazy inside, even though Ross's smile was aimed towards the other girl. The dark-haired beauty Ross stares at in a daze is the complete opposite on the inside.
Laura figures Ross could only love either her or Courtney at one time, only love one of their personalities. Personalities that are complete opposites.
But as the saying goes, some people are put in your life to save you, and others are there to teach you a lesson.
