I don't think working for Hydra is something anyone is necessarily proud of, however, when that's all you've ever known, it's not as bad as it seems. MaryJan Holmer has grown up being experimented on, tortured, and tested. She was Hydra's most prized assassin, well, female assassin. Once her training is officially complete, she gets partnered up with Hydra's most prized male assassin, The Winter Soldier.
