Nike's very essence thrives on the torment of others. Her soul, if she even has one, is made out of pure darkness. Her sole purpose in life is to serve her betrothed husband, the eldest prince of Nyxan, as a present from the Goddess Nyx. Nike was created for the final, epic battle with the Hemerans, the worshipers of Light and of the Goddess Hemera. The only feeble challenge that stands in Nike's victorious way is Nicholas, who is as equally gifted as Nike. Nicholas is a gift from the Goddess Hemera to the Hemerans to end the war in peace. 

What happens when Nike starts to doubt her loyalty to the Dark side? What happens when Nike's wicked soul finds serenity in the presence of Nicholas, her sworn enemy? What happens when Nike goes against her husband, her lover, her betrothed mate for the sake of love?
