How about if there's exactly the same underground building in New York? But they don't have 'aliens' they have something deadlier that runs in the night. 
Vampires. 

Twenty-six year old Marilyn Hurly has been alone all her life. When she was a toddler her whole family was massacred by vampires in the night. The day of her families funeral, she is taken away by the government, showing her the world of bloodthirsty monsters. 

Now she's older and able to work around in the underground with scientists. Marilyn is assigned to a vampire, Thirster 2467. No name, no identity, no nothing. Now she will have to see if she can break him open.

Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way. A dark, romantic twist in every chapter and supernatural love brings the reader into the Underworld.

But then Rhea saw light imprints of blood on the glass door under the dusty layer. ************************************ This book basically contains short horror stories of my own imagination.
