Cas Novak hasn't had the best upbringing. Single father, Chuck Shurley was left with Cas's older brothers, Gabriel, Michael, and Luci as soon as Cas was born. With a father gone most of the time, the kids raised themselves. Michael and Luci both getting jobs at the age of fourteen and eighteen.  Determined to give Cas and Gabriel a better childhood than what they had.

But better isn't always good. As years go by, Cas soon realizes that the future holds many changes. And not the ones Cas wants. Cas--the daughter of Chuck Shurley, and the only girl in her family--wants to be a boy.

It wasn't THAT bad at first. Yeah, Dean didn't probably didn't share his feelings but he was still there, right next to him, every day; which was more than enough for Cas.
