When a young girl, who has been in an orphanage most of her life, finally gets adopted, she is the happiest she could ever be. Camille Dagger, a 16 year old, misunderstood girl soon gets a life like no other. Camille soon comes to the conclusion that she is quickly falling head over heals for her adoptive brother, Alexander Night, a very handsome, tall, black haired boy. Once she confronts him, he also confesses something dire. Alexander tells her that him, along with his whole family and friends that also live in the house, are vampires.
