John looked peaceful, his head lulling back and hands clasped together in his lap. His mouth was slightly open, and his breathing even. How had he fallen asleep so perfectly? Most people who had fallen asleep around Sherlock (which was, admittedly, not many) had slept awfully, loud and snorty, sometimes thrashing around, sometimes making weird sounds you're only capable of making while asleep. He sat next to the doctor, being careful not to disturb his slumber. Closing his eyes, Sherlock tried to get to his mind palace. To his dismay, too many thoughts cluttered his head. That had never happened before. Sherlock groaned softly, keeping his eyes closed. Maybe he should get some sleep. He knew John would want him to. "Ah John, what would I do without you?" Sherlock whispered to the sleeping man beside him on the couch. "I'd be a half dead robot if you weren't here. I almost was. I almost was." A small sigh escaped his lips as he slipped into the cool relief of sleep.Complete

A bullet whizzed past my ear and shot into the ground. Bringing the leaves to life. I let out a terrifying cry and ran. He had caught up to me. God he was going to kill me. And once again, the solder inside took over. Leading me away from the trail, down a hill. I sloshed through a small creek and began to run up the other side. I dared a look back to see Sebastian standing on the other side of the hill. Staring at me. A smile pressed against his face. I barely caught the word he mouthed at me. " I've watched you since you were born but it's obvious that you haven't fully grasped that you cannot see me unless I want you to see me. For someone that has a college degree I would expect more from you. " John scoffed at the deep baritone voice insulting him. " For someone that has supposedly watched me my whole life, I would have assumed that you would have some type of sympathy for me. Besides, I've seen you before. You just choose to hide. " " I'm only like this because I know that you can handle it. You've dealt with me for this long and I'm hiding from you to save you. " He was right. John have dealt with him for a long time. But he was tired of not knowing who he truly was. The voice knew everything about John while John knew nothing about him. " Can you at least tell me your real name, S? " The nickname sent shivers down John's spine since he hadn't called the voice that in years. " Wow, you do remember. But the name is Sherlock Holmes. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to being unknown. " John felt a gust of wind hit him which signaled that Sherlock had once again vanished to who knows where. John's guardian angel sure was a charmer. Always knew how to get them. John could say this though. Sherlock Holmes was one angel that intrigued him in ways he didn't know were possible. But he liked it. - In which a guy named John has a guardian angel named Sherlock follow him around for practically his whole life who will help him reach his life goal that everyone needs to complete. Simply exhausted of all colour. Wasted. I didn't lie down. I didn't blink. I just sat there, staring into nothingness, waiting for something to materialise into my vision. Something. Anything.
