This is something that encouraged me a bit when reading it again. I found an old high school assignment that I saw as slightly pretentious. While it is, it was originally a text conversation with my buddy Chris. You can see it any way you want to after reading it. It's not meant to show off writing. It's meant to just get you to think and feel.

A Collection of Poems
These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem. In a way, it helps me express what I have in my mind in a very vague way. I'm not that kind of a direct person, but there are things that are sometimes, better to kept secret. Here, these poems are what I wanted to say to my friends, to other important people, to people in general, to the world around me, to life and each detail it possesses. Each poem has a central theme, and around that revolves a certain story that I want to impart, something too delicate to be expressed directly, something too complicated. One Heartbeat to Another.
'I hear it in my ear drums. But I can't seem to convince myself that it's real.' I have no idea what I'm doing. Why am I writing this? I dunno, I felt like it and now I'll probably regret it day by day as I update it. Oh well, time to get drunk off of root beer and write down emotional stuff!Complete

"Life is but a calling card. A chance, a spiraling sensation of nothing, that with time turns into everything." Know me is a short story. A piece of life written just as it was lived. All of our experiences help us grow along the years. Life never stops, our minds either. Its chaos, and this book treats it as so. There is no specific order to life's events. So, with whatever hand we are dealt, we march on. We learn about ourselves, how we love, how our minds work. We doubt everything. We question our existence in this piece of dirt. We seek purpose in everything we do. Only to find out that maybe life takes the shape we give it. I hope these words take the shape of anything you need.Complete

I started writing poems because I had to get my emotions out in some other way and poems helped because I got a deeper meaning from them and had to put lessons I learned the hard way in my writings. I feel as if these were meant for those who could under stand my pain and anger at those who did me wrong. I don't care what you think about my writing because it's part of me and this is how i'm choosing to show you who I am. I was bullied. I did have my heart broken. I have came back stronger. My life has changed and so have I. I'm ready to take that stand.Complete
Beyond Her Love
'I had never known how it feels to be lost in an other person's soul until the glimmering blue eyes of a massive girl's met mine. Those eyes find themselves in search of mine whenever mine looks down. Those eyes came to the rooftop at the cafe to console mine and now those eyes are staring at me as I revealed the hidden feelings of mine which we clearly know what's between us. I can wholly realize they always have to make me cozy and hypnotize into 'em. If this is called friendship then I've no clue what LOVE is,' 'Dude what the hell are you talkin' about?' Everyone were shocked. 'I'm just.. Uh.. Saying that.. She's more than a friend to me,' I swifty rolled my eyes after I mentioned her. ~~~~~ Sometimes, unexpectedly our life descends precisely the way we don't want it to. The story begans just so when the couple messed up the conversation which eventually leads to a outrageous break up made him to descend into a dark gloomy phase. As much surprisingly luck was around, they confesses they still have feelings and reciprocates after decades of time, makes him anticipate way more than the reality. But the fact is, reality is way more than we anticipate. This is apparently where the life takes another tint. They were less acknowledged that whether the destination of them would tend to favour. Will they find the love which was lost? Will they be back together? [word count : 40,589]Complete

Remember science class and looking at a piece of onion skin under the microscope? It's still onion skin, but it appears completely different when you look it in a different light. People can be like that too. A little boy finds out that his relationship with his grandfather is not exactly what he had thought.Complete
