A 16 year old girl's world is turned upside down when her Egyptian home is destroyed in the protests and she is taken away to a camp. Upon learning about her parent's death, Kariza is forced to thrust her trust and sibling's safety into the hands of an American journalist, and fly to America to start a new life.

She wasn't a normal girl to start off with; her parents never treated her like a child but as a weapon.
