Eliza Ross is just a typical high school junior. She works hard at school and is close with her friends. But when she goes running one day, she finds herself being watched by a pair of green eyes that she knows can’t be human. 
Then Jace Carver comes as a new student to Eliza’s school. His sudden appearance makes Eliza suspicious, but not as much as his green eyes. They are the same color as the eyes she saw in the forest. Who is Jace? Why is he here? Why has he taken such a deep interest in Eliza? And most importantly, what is he?
