After losing her parents in an airplane - water - crash, Charlotte Morris has had a fear of heights and water since she was 6 years old.

Both Charlotte and her twin sister Scarlett now live with their aunt Mel, in California.

Scarlett got it all; the looks, the friends the guys and the attention. Nobody could blame her though, she got what she seeked.

Charlotte was the complete opposite; she was normal looking not ugly or pretty, only two friends, no boyfriends and attention? Well that was something she purposefully ran away from.

After a day at the beach, that her friends forced her to have, she has a near death experience from drowning, if it wasn't for Jeremiah Ryder -- the lifeguard -- she would have died.

Jeremiah is attracted to Charlotte at first sight, and is determined to get her over her fear.

Will Jeremiah be able to help her? Or will his own past come in the way of a new relationship?
