Audrey's life is like all the other normal teenagers like her. She has friends, her parents divorced, but still friends for her and her little sister's sake. Everything in Audrey's life finally seems to be going good, until the town is shaken with the murder of one of the teenagers at her school. But the teen isn't just any kid from her school. No, it just so happens to be the death of her younger sister, Helena, and it's the most brutal death the town has ever seen.
Following the death of her beloved sister, Audrey and her friend Iris develop some sort of mythical powers. Powers someone is willing to kill for. They also discover there is two others like them in their school. Audrey, Iris, and the two boys, Dean and Myles, are left fighting for their lives in a battle to the death against those who kill people or things out of the normal. But along the way, Audrey feels she isn't now just fighting for her and her friend, but for Dean, whom she feels deeply about, and Myles as well.

The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.Complete
