After losing her best friend Michael Clifford in a car crash, Winter Adams is left with almost nothing. She spirals down into depression, self harm and suicidal thoughts. Soon after his funeral, she starts hearing voices in her head that sound exactly like her best friend's. At first, she thinks she's hallucinating, but really, she's talking her best friend, Michael.
After a while she passes them off as nothing. Just her hearing things. But after a while, she realizes she can have conversations with the voice. She doesn't tell anyone, afraid she may be sent away to an institute.
The voice kept her alive but, soon enough, it gets too much. She starts falling deeper and deeper until even the voice can't save her. A darker,more violent voice begins to take over. A voice so dark and evil, the good voice of her best friend isn't able to fight it.
WARNINGS: self harm/cutting, depression, anxiety, PTSD, death, swearing, blood, etc.

"Why did you disappear with no goodbye or see you later, or even a note explaining everything or even a phone call from you once you got to where you left to?" I didn't answer right away. I didn't know how to explain this to him, and having his new friends around made it all the harder. I knew I had to think carefully about my answer, so I wouldn't give too much away. But through it all, the hardest part, was definitely loosing her best friend. So when she gets the chance to get him back, of course she tried.
