It's been a couple years since Skylar's life changed. She had gotten a record deal, released two albums, had two kids, and fell in love all within a year...or so she thought. She left everything she was used to, to make herself happier and focus on her career. With an upcoming award show, she runs into someone she hasn't seen in years. It all comes rushing back to her..including old feelings and she trys hard not to fall again..but it's easier said than done.

Romie Adler has been a devoted fan of music since she could remember, so much so that she chose a career path that involved making it; the words of the music that is. She is so close to graduating from UCLA with a degree in songwriting that she can almost taste it, but she honestly doesn't know how she is going to get into the business. By an act of fate, she gets pushed towards three talented brothers that just so happen to be an accomplished band that have a few albums that went platinum. She has been a huge fan of theirs for years, so it's almost like a wild dream when they hire her on to help write their new album. Since they are a band of real life brothers, they bring her in like she is an adoptive member of their family. Romie has never really had a family before, she has parents yes, but they were either never there, or they were way too self involved with themselves to pay attention to her; so once she gets invited to this very involved with each other family she feels as if she is being smothered; she's used to doing things on her own because that's all she's ever known. But.... she learns real fast that living in Hollywood can give you everything you want and everything you don't. Hollywood is filed with lies, love, almost loves, ex-loves, never going to be loves, and most of all finding yourself. Romie knows that somehow she can help herself through Hollywood and life as long as she has a song to guide her.
