Have you ever wondered if the term "Soulmates" actually happens? Sure people find someone and they claim them as their soulmate but are they really? How do you know for sure? 
Now as babies are being born they will receive a letter, a letter that tells them about their tattoo that will appear on their wrists at the age of 19. 
The tattoos come in pairs, meaning only you and one other person,your true soulmate, will have it. Here's the catch though, you don't actually know the other person. You have to visit your angel to get hints and clues while traveling the world to find your other half. 
Do you have to accept your soulmate? Not necessarily. Can you reject them? Yes. But everyone should remember one thing.... They were made for you and you won't find anyone like them once you've met them even if you try.

Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
