In the ruins of many civil wars, America still stands. The states have turned for good against the government. The president has been overturned by a group of people called the Founders; which caused the civil wars. As an outcome of the rebellions the Founders decided to start all over with the society, entitled The Switch. To start a brand new way of life with the rules the founders decided.
Seventeen year old Annaliegh Polar becomes curious of the founders. Her parents being the head of the rebellions know far too much of the plans of the founders. Annaliegh puts lives at hand trying to save all the work her parents have done with the rebellion. But if she is to protect those plans, she will have to make choices that weigh humanity against truth and survival against love.
