Adaline Bowman lived in Western Scotland in a lovely home by the sea, a mile from a reasonable well-populated town, with her King-Charles-Cocker Spaniel Bess, she was exactly 109 years and 17 days old. She had a daughter who lived in London, Charlie now an old woman.
On her 109 years and 18 days of been alive, she did not expect to fall in love whilst dancing in her lounge-room than little more than a black petticoat.
