wrote this for English, and am completely proud of my self for going under the maximum word limit; but i wish to rewrite this story again at a later date so it's to my liking, and my style of over description. this short story of 795 words, is about a cyborg, 500 years away from this present. where he is killed early on in his life, and from a world of discrimination that is towards him. he is given the chance to create a perfect world, a Utopia, as you may call it; but sadly once he has finished his plan of doing so, he is sucked out of that dream, and given an eternal chance to reality again. going off the given prompt "reaching the destination is not the end of the journey". i do hope you enjoy, it is one of my better pieces of work, and hopefully soon to be more worked on pieces of work.

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. If you have read this far into the description, I thank you; you've made it further than mostly everyone before you. I hope you stick around. ⠀⠀
