You can't hide forever, this is just a simple fact. Kace learns this quite well when, just as he thought is his life was starting, he is dragged right back into his family's dark past that he didn't even know about.
      
           He was hidden all his life from the truth. Everything he has become is a lie. He is not who he thinks he is. He is not a literature geek he is thought to be, he is next in line to the throne.
         
           And the world around him isn't all rainbows and sunshine, it is crawling with monsters that are out to get him once his father has gone missing. The only ones to protect him now are two people he met in the psych ward that he volunteers at, charged with protecting him for life. The Three of them are forced to fight their way back to the kingdom they originally ran away from fifteen years prior. The sarcastic girl with trust issues, the wise boy who doesn't talk, and the clueless lost prince.
   
            Kace has two options: Be who he was born to be or run away from his predestined life, leaving his kingdom in shambles. The choice is his and his only.
