A tragic gas explosion kills all attendees and their leader, Mother Sylvia. But when her protégée Eliza Sparks is almost killed in an attack upon her coven it is clear that someone - or something - is working to destroy the Witch Court.

Soon, the link between both threads becomes clear as more attacks follow and the puppeteer working behind the scenes moves towards his ultimate goal: to open the Gates of Infernus and release the demons trapped there.
