Dante Specter is but a nomadic traveler of Veraii, armed with his knife, his magic, his intelligence, and an ancient power. He arrives in the City of Haven hoping to settle, to take a long break from the road. Fate has other plans, as there is no rest for the weary. He finds himself sucked into a war not only against a fanatic, twisted threat with a skewed sense of duty, but against the disease of chaos that has infected his world, rotting it away from the inside out.
