17 year old Senna Barret, her brother; 15 year old Owen Barret, 17 year old Jennifer Siyas, and 18 year old Seth Crane are captives of a scientist who forces his expirements on them. At their age they know what's going on, and they know they have to escape. Once they kill the scientist with the powers they were forcefully given, they make their way to the real world where they make a colony of wolves where they vow to never trust a human into their pack. But one day Senna finds a human boy in the woods badly injured. She brings him into the pack even though Seth doesn't approve. Throughout their journey they unravel he boys hidden secret and learn to trust him. While trying to battle the humans that don't accept differences in their forcefield.
