Recently graduating from high school with a broken heart it could be said Thackery isn't having the best summer he had planned let alone wanted. He loved Roman more than anything having been together almost all of high school. It comes to no surprise breaking up has him upset. He thought they would stay together forever. He wanted to believe they could get through whatever life throws at them but apparently it wasn't true. Roman broke his heart and isn't coming back anytime soon. And even if he did Thackery has no intentions of getting back together.
Family secrets and the loss of a child tore them apart. Perhaps they should have listened and realized from the start to prevent such heartache; a rabbit and a werewolf can never live happily ever after. They can never be mates with a family as they found out the hard way.
After a few months of summer back home with his father Thackery is nowhere close to wanting to fall in love again. He actually wants nothing to do with the idea of love ever again.
Love just doesn't exist in Thackery's mind after what he's gone through. Of course that's how he feels now but what will happen when someone enters into his life as a friend and those familiar fluttering feelings inside brought by love begin to develop over time? Can the person change his mind and heart altogether? Or will he remain heartbroken forever?
