A Vision of Stars

Thea Allen lived a fairly regular childhood, she lived with her older sister Grace , younger brother Leo, her mother Janice, and her father Will. Only Thea was different from the rest of her family, Thea was blind.

When she was 3, her and her older sister were playing with their fathers lighter when Thea's hair caught fire. The fire spread to rest of her hair and the heat getting to close to her young eyes it meant the loss of her sight. Thea not wanting to ruin her mothers perfect image of her older sister said it was her own fault. Since then her mother has always favored Grace over Thea.

Three years later Thea's younger brother Leo came around and Thea was starting school. The stress only rose for her mother, but when the school saw Thea's potential, things went better. A new program arose in the school for gifted people and Thea was accepted in. This gave Thea's mother and the rest of the family a rest from the stress.

Our story begins 10 years later in Glenbrook, Nevada. Thea is now 16 and a sophomore, Grace is now 18 and a senior, Leo is now 10 and in 4th grade, Thea's mother Janice is now 37 and working as a painter, and her father Will is a janitor at the local offices.

When Thea is noticed by the schools well known "bad-boy" she has no idea what to do or think, and when it turns out they have more in common then they think what will become of their new found friendship. Will it turn to something more or into a complete disaster?
