A young Romulan named Sela Rehu has joined Star Fleet against all odds. Now she must gain the trust of the crew of the USS Enterprise-D. During her service she will have to face her fears and gain the acceptance of those around her. She will find love and friendship and she will have to deal with loss and prejudice.

Instead he got put on a Scout ship with just one other soul and sent on a five month mission out into deep space. The mission quickly becomes more than the young commander could have ever expected and the fate of humanity lies in how fast he can return back to humanity.
