Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain has just promised peace for Europe, but British headlines describe a world very different from the one assured by their leader. In Spain, civil war rages on. In Germany, citizens fear for their future. In France, the government fortifies its Eastern border with the Maginot Line . Contrary to the wishes of the hopeful, Europe lies dangerously on the precipice of war.

Yet, in a time of terrific upheaval, a young girl must begin her own journey as she sets sail across the Atlantic ocean to aid her ailing grandfather. There, she'll discover how to fight to keep tremendous love in a world that so desperately wants hate and war.
